Tech Lead - Ruby Engineer

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is driven and energetic to join our disruptive start-up to be one of our key software engineers. The ideal candidate loves to talk about technology, gets excited about innovation, and has a passion for the mobile space. He or She is self-motivated, a great communicator, and an open collaborator.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and functions for our flagship web application
  • Be an active part of the core management team
  • Manage the release process
  • Design best practices for stress testing our application
  • Develop integration to third-party API's such as facebook, twitter, sendgrid, amazon payments, etc.
  • Develop technical documentation as required
  • Recruit and hire a tech team as the business grows

    • Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience developing Ruby on Rails applications – You should be able to demonstrate a project you're proud of
  • Significant experience with JavaScript and related frameworks (prototype, jQuery, etc.)
  • Experience with GitHub, SendGrid, >>> a plus
  • Consuming SOAP & POX web services
  • Knowledge of OO design patterns, refactoring and unit testing
  • Familiarity working in Linux environment on a cloud hosted platform
  • Working knowledge of MySQL (or similar database platform)
